Hello readers, yes, I know it’s been a while since I blogged and I am really sorry to have been away for so long. I really missed you guys so much and I am very much excited to be back.
You guys are probably wondering why I am putting up a post about cervical cancer on a beauty and fitness blog but I want to clear the air and state that I have a passion for all things humanitarian and that fitness isn’t only about looking good outside but feeling good on the inside as well.
With that being said, I have some pretty exciting news for women in Nigeria and it is that the Super Runway Cervical Cancer Awareness program will be visiting five (5) Local Government areas in Akwa Ibom State in October to offer free screening and counselling to over 300 beneficiaries from each Local Government area as well as free treatments for infected parties. How amazing is that?
Super Runway is a Non-Governmental organisation that seeks to create awareness on the prevalence of cervical cancer through the instrument of ethnic fashion shows to ensure early detection for many women in Nigeria today in order for them to live healthy, fulfilling lives. They have already made their impact in Enugu State in August of Last year with the state governors wife in attendance.
I absolutely love what these people are doing and I implore everyone to keep their eyes peeled for more information on the screening as this is an opportunity that should not be missed.
And remember, the key to curing cancer is early detection. For more information on how to support this initiative or questions call: 08023068491 or send a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
